CPU.News (www.cpu.news) is a PC hardware ranking and build-planning website. You do not need an account to use it, and we never ask for your name, email address, phone number or other personal details. This policy explains what data is processed when you visit, who processes it, and how you can control it.
To remember your settings, the site uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage) and offline cache for the following:
This data stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers. You can delete all of it by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings; recently viewed products can also be cleared from the home page.
The site is hosted on Vercel. As with any website, the servers process technical information needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for content delivery and security.
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to measure traffic and page performance. According to Vercel, these services do not use cookies and provide only aggregated statistics that are not used to identify individuals.
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, which may include personalized ads.
You can turn off personalized ads in Google’s ad settings, and opt out of personalized advertising from some third-party vendors at aboutads.info. Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will see a consent message from Google on their first visit and can choose whether to allow personalized ads.
Store links on product pages lead to search pages on third-party retailers, and some carry affiliate tags. If you buy through these links we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Once you click, the retailer handles your data under its own privacy policy and may set cookies to record the referral.
News, store and other links open third-party websites that are not covered by this policy; please review their own privacy policies.
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We do not keep personal profiles that identify you, so there is no account data to access, export or delete. You can control advertising and analytics data through the Google settings above, by declining consent, or by clearing cookies. If local law (such as the EU GDPR) gives you rights to access, delete or object to the processing of your data, please exercise them for data processed by Google through the channels Google provides.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. For questions, contact us through the author’s blog.
